An Autumn Day Out at London's Richmond Park
Today I had to make a collage for my school project about Autumn. I love being outside so mum agreed to take me to Richmond Park to find some materials. Being there is so fun because it’s so big you can walk for hours without getting back to the beginning. Although all the grass does make it difficult to skateboard. There are also deer everywhere, although mum says I’m not allowed to get too close to them. In the autumn the deer ‘rut’ which means the boys wrestle with their antlers. It makes such a loud crashing noise!
There were leaves everywhere, I collected the biggest ones I could find for my project. They come in every colour under the sun but the best one I found was golden with speckles of brown. By the end I had so many leaves I couldn’t carry them all. I don’t know how I’m going to choose for my collage.
Whenever we go to Richmond Park I’m allowed to go to my favourite conker tree which is right in the middle. Autumn is the best time to find conkers, I got so excited I ran all the way there. Mum says it might be difficult to put them in the collage but that we can get a jar to store the shiniest ones. I am going to collect them every year and have a room full of conker jars.
