Changing face of the toy industry
If you've read my past few blogs, then you'll know that changes are definitely afoot in the word of toys.
It was confirmed earlier this week that toys are now included in the current US administration's tariff list and that from June, toys will now incur a 25% tariff once they hit US soil.
The trickle down effect of this tax will affect everyone from manufacturers to shops to consumers.
Creating a new business model will be crucial for companies and brands who want to offer the best products at the best prices for their customers.
One example of a company who is changing things up is FAO Schwartz. They have created a new franchise business model for their iconic store, and have been rapidly expanding since their new re-launch in 2018, including new overseas expansion.
So that give us hope that our new business model can work, too. Selling through Crowdfunding, eliminating expensive long term warehousing and marketing, and designing new streamlined packaging that is more cost effective to ship all means that we can pass those savings onto you.
With every change comes new challenges and my plan is that by meeting them head on, A Girl for All Time can continue to thrive and grow
