05 Feb - Update for Bex and Nisha
Latest update for Bex and Nisha
Hi everyone - here is a little update on Bex and Nisha - the costumes and shoes are all done which is great news. Nisha's dress and Bex's shirt have been digitally printed (our first time!) and we are really excited about that. It means that there is nearly zero waste in terms of excess fabric and ties in with our commitment to a smaller carbon footprint.
The packaging is in the final stages of manufacturing and I will be signing off on those this week.
The only delay so far has been the supply in raw materials to make the wigs for Bex and Nisha. I am still waiting to hear when those materials will be delivered to the factory and will keep you updated when that is expected to happen.
Next stages will be to make the wigs, then do our usual battery of safety tests for our dolls and packaging to make sure we are compliant with all of the regulations and requirements for toys. Then we ship from the factory to the warehouse, clear customs, deliver to the warehouse and then ship out to customers.
The delay in raw materials for the wigs means that our initial projection for delivery end of Feb has been pushed back Based on what I have seen happening in manufacturing since March of 2019, I am going to be generous in estimating that Bex and Nisha will be shipping from our warehouses to you by the 2nd week of May. I am hoping it will be earlier but I think its better to over-estimate rather than under-estimate.
The impact of Covid on world-wide supply chains has been unprecedented and we really appreciate everyone's support while we worked behind the scenes every day to get these dolls manufactured as soon as possible.
We couldn't be more excited to finally be in the last stages of getting these gorgeous dolls produced and out to you - and I am really hoping that 2021 sees us getting back to our usual quick turnaround for production and manufacturing.
