International Day of the Girl - giving girls' voices a platform to tell their stories
Celebrate International Day of the Girl with A Girl For All Time
International Day of the Girl is this Sunday (11th) and we can’t wait to celebrate it. Originating from the Fourth World Conference on Women, this day highlights the gender equality struggles faced by girls around the world.
The theme for this year’s campaign launched by UNICEF is ‘My Voice, Our Equal Future’. It focuses on empowering the voices of young girls, providing a platform for them to tell their own stories. Check out Fatoumata and Ide’s stories which highlight the importance of education for all girls. Something we love at A Girl For All Time.
Pink is the official color of UNICEF's International Day of the Girl - so why not hold a pink party to celebrate International Day of the Girl? Wear your favourite pink clothing or try making these easy DIY party streamers. Hang up banners with ‘Day of the Girl’, ‘My Voice’ or ‘Girl Takeover’.

Celebrate the most important member of your family with A Girl For All Time pets!
Learn all about the A Girl For All Time pets, our own family dog, Oreo, and try some animal crafts to recreate your dolls furry friend.
We love pets at A Girl For All Time! Each of our gorgeous dolls has her very own furry friend. These cute companions have seen our girls through everything, from Shakes and Elinor’s scary move to the countryside, to Amelia's and Ophelia’s tea parties and Lydia’s cold winter walks with her horse.
I wanted each character to have her own special friend, just as my own children had growing up with our border collie, Oreo, He loves herding up anything and everything, taking loooong walks, barking at thin air and generally being an adorable nuisance.
We've created a Dog Origami Challenge to try with your family... check out our Instagram for more exclusive Oreo photos this week.
Re-create your favourite pet with our easy origami craft!
Stage 1: Use one sheet of origami paper or trim a sheet of paper to create a square. You can use a small one if you want to create a doll sized origami pet, too!
Stage 2 Fold the sheet in half corner to corner.
Stage 3: Fold down the two corners of the longest edge to make the ears.
Stage 4: Fold the remaining point of the triangle up to make a nose.
Step 5: colour in the upfolded tip of the nose and add the eyes.
Step 6: Get creative!
Try a range of colours or even get some glitter involved if you are feeling creative.
